Bronze Flats

Bronze Flats

A bronze flat is a cast-bronze memorial plaque, set flush with the ground on a granite base. Bronze is a rich, striking material that adds warmth and weight to any flat memorial, and it is often used on public and veteran monuments. Because the bronze plaque sits flush with the lawn, bronze flats meet the flush-marker rule that most memorial parks require, which is why they are widely accepted across newer sections of most Texas cemeteries.

We cast every plaque to the cemetery’s exact base specification so it sets level on the first visit. Bronze develops a natural patina over time — many families keep that look; others ask for periodic polishing back to the cast finish. We add bronze vases, military medallions, porcelain photo inlays, and cast emblems on request. The granite base under the bronze takes the structural load and is set on a poured concrete foundation so it does not settle or rock.
