Del Rio sits on the Texas side of the Rio Grande, three hours south of our San Angelo workshop, and we have served families here in granite, marble, and bronze since 2001. Westlawn Cemetery, Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery, and Del Rio Memorial Park are the three cemeteries we work with most often. Many of the markers we engrave for Del Rio-area families include bilingual lettering or Catholic symbolism — Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery has its own rules around imagery, and we confirm them with the cemetery office before we cut. Our flat headstone work covers single, companion, photo-inlay, and integrated-vase styles. The cost of a monument depends on size, material, and accessories; please call (806) 662-8696 for a custom quote. MemorialTag is included at no extra cost on every monument we set.
Texas Lonestar Monuments serves families in Del Rio and the rest of Val Verde County in the South Texas brush country along the river, and we have been doing this work since 2001. Families in Del Rio often work with us on markers for Westlawn Cemetery and Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery, among other local cemeteries. A ledger is a flat granite slab that covers the full length of a grave site, which gives the family far more room for lettering and artwork than a standard headstone tablet. Call us at (806) 662-8696 for a custom quote and we will walk through ledger and coping wall options that work for your section and your budget.
Some cemeteries have restrictions on the monuments they accept. It is a good idea to check with your cemetery first to find out what guidelines you must follow. We will be happy to help you customize a monument that meets those guidelines.
Marker rules change. We’ll confirm the current rules with the cemetery office and send you everything we get.

It depends. A ledger covers the grave itself; a coping wall borders the plot. Many families install both — a ledger on each grave inside a shared coping border that defines the whole family plot.
It depends. The cemetery’s foundation rule and the design both set the thickness — thicker stone is heavier but lasts longer at the joints. We will recommend a thickness once we see the cemetery’s specification.
It depends. Many families choose an independent monument maker, but cemetery rules and installation requirements can vary. Ask your cemetery for its current written requirements and fees before ordering; we can help you review them.
