Our San Angelo workshop has been cutting companion upright monuments for families along the Rio Grande border since 2001 — including Eagle Pass and the rest of Maverick County. Families in Eagle Pass often work with us on markers for Maverick County Cemetery, among other local cemeteries. Many families order a companion upright after the first burial has taken place and leave the second date open on the carving; we return later and engrave the final date directly on the stone without removing the monument. Please give us a call at (806) 662-8696 for a custom quote — we will discuss materials, shape, lettering, and how the monument will be set at the cemetery in Eagle Pass.
We deliver and set monuments across the Rio Grande Border region. Families in Eagle Pass sometimes choose a cemetery in a neighboring town — these are the cemeteries we work with most often in the area.
Some cemeteries have restrictions on the monuments they accept. It is a good idea to check with your cemetery first to find out what guidelines you must follow. We will be happy to help you customize a monument that meets those guidelines.
Marker rules change. We’ll confirm the current rules with the cemetery office and send you everything we get.

Yes. We can return to the cemetery in Eagle Pass and engrave the final date directly on the stone without removing the monument or disturbing the foundation. Most families pay for the original carving up front and pay only for the final date engraving when it is needed.
It depends. The cemetery's section rule sets the maximum size; how much lettering and artwork you want on the tablet sets the practical minimum. Send us the section you have purchased in Eagle Pass and we will draw two or three options to scale before you commit.
Yes. We have been designing and setting markers for Rio Grande Border families — Del Rio, Eagle Pass, Uvalde, Brackettville — since 2001. Bilingual lettering and Catholic symbolism are standard when requested. Call (806) 662-8696 for a custom quote.
It depends. Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery has its own rules around imagery and lettering; Westlawn and Del Rio Memorial Park each have their own size requirements; Hillcrest in Uvalde is different again. Check with your cemetery office for the current rules, or ask us — we get them in writing before we cut.

No. Some families build two single uprights on a shared base, or two flat markers under a shared coping wall. A companion upright is the most common choice because it reads as one piece of stone, but it is not the only option.

It depends. A companion upright uses one base instead of two, so the granite cost is often lower than two singles — but the engraving cost is similar. Please give us a call for a custom quote and we will price both options side by side.
No. A funeral home or cemetery is lawfully unable to force you to purchase a monument from them when arranging other funeral purchases.

No. Online monument companies typically charge around 80 percent of the price while doing about 50 percent of the work. They cut a stone and ship it in a box. They do not deliver to the cemetery, they do not set the marker, and they do not handle the cemetery office. At Texas Lonestar Monuments, nearly half of the labor and time in every monument is the installation itself. To set a monument properly takes a truck with a crane, lifting straps, lifting bars, setting compound, a concrete foundation, specialized tools, and the experience to know how to use them. It also takes the things that keep a crew on the road across Texas — tires, oil changes, insurance, and the wages of the people doing the work. If all we did was create a monument and ship it across the country, our prices would be lower too. We choose to do the whole job, from design through installation, because that is what a family deserves. Please give us a call for a custom quote and we will show you exactly what is included.
