San Antonio has one of the largest Catholic communities in Texas, and many Bexar County families bury in the Archdiocese of San Antonio's cemetery network: San Fernando Cemetery II on Castroville Road, San Fernando Cemetery III on Cupples Road, and Holy Cross Cemetery on Nacogdoches Road. Military families often choose Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery on Harry Wurzbach Road, where the VA furnishes a government headstone or marker for eligible veterans. Sunset Memorial Park on Austin Highway serves many families on the northeast side. We work from our San Angelo workshop, roughly three and a half hours up US-87, and we deliver and set each marker ourselves. Every order begins with a free design proof, so you see the lettering, artwork, and dimensions before any granite, marble, or bronze is cut. Families in New Braunfels, Schertz, Converse, and Live Oak are welcome too. Call (806) 662-8696 for a custom quote.
A granite bench gives visitors a place to sit and carries a name and dates on the seat or back. Whether a bench is allowed depends on the cemetery and the section. None of the San Antonio cemeteries we researched, including Sunset Memorial Park, San Fernando II, San Fernando III, and Holy Cross, publishes a bench rule online, so the family should confirm placement and footprint with the office first. Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery follows VA rules. When a bench is approved, we cut it in San Angelo, engrave it, and can add a sealed niche for cremated remains. We deliver and set it in Bexar County. Call (806) 662-8696.
Some cemeteries have restrictions on the monuments they accept. It is a good idea to check with your cemetery first to find out what guidelines you must follow. We will be happy to help you customize a monument that meets those guidelines.
Marker rules change. We’ll confirm the current rules with the cemetery office and send you everything we get.

It depends. The Archdiocese of San Antonio defines a memorial broadly, covering monuments, headstones, grave markers, tablets, and bronze plaques, but its on-site restrictions are not published online. The family should confirm with the cemetery office, and we will draw the design to what they tell you.

Yes. That is the point. We finish the seat to be usable in any weather and we set the bench on a level pad so it does not rock when used.
